Security
As much as we would like to think that our fishing village is a safe and friendly paradise, we would be failing our duty to you, our valued guests, not to point out that petty theft does happen when given the opportunity. Therefore, to put your mind at ease, and ours, we strongly advise you to leave your valuables (e.g. laptops, Ipods, jewellery, GPS's, etc.) at home and arrive here with the minimum for a carefree weekend. Once here, we strongly advise that all windows and doors are shut and locked when you leave the house unoccupied. Please also ensure that doors & windows are closed and locked at ground level and all vulnerable areas. Also do not leave valuables & personal possessions in unlocked cars to close to open doors and windows and ensure they are with you when sleeping. These simple measures should go a long way to safeguarding your personal belongings and possessions. We really appreciate your cooperation in this matter and hope your stay is pleasant and enjoyable.
Internet access
Wireless internet access is available at the accommodation office at 5 Sonkwas Road.
Cash key deposit
A R500 cash key deposit is payable on arrival and is refundable after house has been scrutinised and all found in order. Please place in envelope together with banking details. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances unless cash key deposit has been received. The cash key deposit will be refunded between 5 to 7 working days after departure date, if all at the house found in order. Alternatively guests can provide us with their credit card details, in which case the cash key deposit will not be required.
Supplies
In every house, the following is supplied:
- Bed-linen
- Bath towels (bring own beach towels)
- Toilet paper
- Dishwashing liquid
Directions
From Cape Town : travel north on the R27, turn left at the Vredenburg turn-off and travel through Vredenburg to Paternoster. The entire trip is ± 140km.
From Cape Town International Airport : travel towards Cape Town on the N2, take the N7 - Malmesbury/ Goodwood turnoff (Vanguard Drive) and turn right towards Malmesbury. Travel north on the N7 and turn left at the Melkbosstrand turn-off. Continue to the R27. Turn right onto the R27 and travel north, past Yzerfontein and Langebaan until you get to the Vredenburg turn-off. Turn left at the Vredenburg turn-off and travel through Vredenburg to Paternoster. The entire trip is ± 155km.
